After Obama Calls To Rush Through Election Bill – 3 Republicans Gang Up To Put It To An End

Democrats are desperate to pass “election reform” before 2022.

Why? Because they know Republicans are ready to retake Congress. Their “reforms” could open the door for widespread concerns and “irregularities.”

So, they are dragging out one old leftist fossil to push this toxic bill.

Former President Barack Obama is urging Congress to pass the For the People Act, a sweeping election reform bill, before the 2022 midterm elections and warning there could be long-term damage to American democracy if they do not.

Obama is trying to use whatever clout he has to get this bill passed. So, three top GOP senators take turns blasting it.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) on Monday torched the Democrats’ election takeover bill on the Senate floor as a purely “partisan power grab” by the left “to rig the rules of American elections permanently” in their favor.

Sen. John Kennedy, R-La., on “Fox & Friends” Tuesday characterized the Democrats’ election reform bill, called the ‘For The People Act,’ as an “extraordinarily cynical’ move that would make cheating easier.

Republican Sen. Marsha Blackburn slammed the Democrats’ sweeping election reform bill, saying the left “has launched an assault on having free and fair elections,” warning ahead of the vote Tuesday that it will be “difficult” for Republicans to get on board.

It appears that Republicans are all-out in their war against this leftist “power grab” in the form of their election bill.

The bill, among other things, would remove state-mandated voter ID. It would make mail-in ballots universal. And it would open the door for all sorts of “irregularities” that would make our elections a joke.

Democrats are (poorly) claiming that this election reform is needed. Why? Our elections have supposedly been going on just fine for years.

Democrats have dismissed concerns by Republicans that our elections have problems. Why do they now think massive changes have to be made?

Maybe it’s because they think what they did in 2020 worked, so they want it standard practice across the country.

Mail-in ballots were a temporary measure, due to the pandemic. Now, they want them everywhere, in every election. We’ve seen how problematic they are in various states. Do we want that in every state?

Republicans must be united against this bill. The more pressure they put on Democrats, the more they spread the word about this bill, the less likely Democrats will be able to fight for it.

Obama or no, Americans must oppose this blatant attack on our democracy.
