The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) indicated that it is still working to make changes in federal agencies, including cutting government credit card accounts.
A program launched earlier this year has resulted in the cancellation of more than 610,000 unused or unneeded federal credit cards after 14 weeks, DOGE said in an X post on Friday.
It noted that the effort, which had earlier discovered around 4.6 million agency cards, has “expanded to 55 agencies” so far. A previous update from the task force in late May indicated that around 523,000 cards were deactivated.
In a separate post on Sunday, DOGE said the General Services Administration (GSA) and the Small Business Administration (SBA) cut several thousand unused phone plans or subscriptions in the past month....
