El Salvador’s President Tells Trump He Won’t Release Kilmar Abrego Garcia

U.S. President Donald Trump and Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele met at the Oval Office on Monday. During the meeting, Bukele said he wouldn’t send back a deported illegal immigrant sent to El Salvador by mistake. He called the request “preposterous” and said he wouldn’t return any criminals to the United States. Trump says some car companies may get a break on tariffs as they shift production back to the United States. He’s also vowing new tariffs on pharmaceutical imports in an effort to bring drug manufacturing home.
