Texas Passes Bill Requiring All Sheriffs to Cooperate with Immigration Officers

Texas legislators passed a bipartisan bill that will require all county sheriffs who operate jails to cooperate with U.S. immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Both chambers approved the conference committee's version of SB8 and passed the bill to Governor Greg Abbott for his signature.
