Top Democrat on China Select Committee to Step Down

Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-Ill.) is stepping down as the top Democrat on the House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party later this month after two terms on the panel. Krishnamoorthi has co-led the bipartisan House China Committee since it was created in January 2023 with the goal of addressing military, economic, and technological challenges from China.
