Trump reaches trade war truce with China

President Trump reached a trade war truce with China’s President Xi in their high-stakes meeting. President Trump agreed to lower some tariffs on Chinese imports in exchange for China suspending restrictions on rare-earth minerals, stopping the flow of fentanyl into the U.S., and buying more soybeans from American farmers.
