Trump Says Chinese Students Are Welcome to Attend US Universities

International students pursuing education in the United States are welcome, President Donald Trump said on Aug. 26, including those from China. “I think it’s very insulting to say students can’t come here, because they’ll go out and start building schools and they’ll be able to survive it,” Trump said after a meeting with his Cabinet members at the White House, when asked to clarify his administration’s policy on Chinese students. “And you know what would happen if they didn’t?
