With 63 Percent of Voters Backing Her Recall, Bay Area District Attorney Concedes

Alameda County District Attorney Pamela Price conceded her recall election on Monday, nearly a week after Bay Area voters expressed their frustration with crime and homelessness by voting out multiple progressive leaders. Ultimately, 63.1 percent of voters on Nov. 5 favored replacing Price, who had served in the position for less than two years. Alongside Price, Oakland voters also ousted progressive Mayor Sheng Thao.
