American Library Association Files Lawsuit Against DOGE

The Elon Musk-led Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and the Trump administration were sued by the American Library Association and a union, which later asked a court to block what they said were cuts to a federal agency that funds libraries. In the lawsuit, filed earlier this week, the association and the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees union sought to block the administration and DOGE’s efforts to dismantle the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS).
