WASHINGTON—Congress has been passing appropriations bills to fund government needs, with outlays for an array of budget items ranging from missile defense and ICE operations to security at World Cup soccer games.
On Jan. 20, the House Appropriations Committee released a spending bill package funding the departments of Defense, Homeland Security, Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, Transportation, and Housing and Urban Development.
It comes as Congress works to pass all 12 required annual spending bills. So far, four of these have been signed into law by the president.
