DEA Medical Marijuana Registration Portal to Open on April 29

Companies that want to register as medical marijuana dispensaries will be able to do so from April 29, following President Donald Trump’s order to reclassify the substance, according to a notice on the Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA’s) website. The DEA said that the portal will open on Wednesday at 9 a.m. ET. The move comes several days after the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) said that it was loosening restrictions on some marijuana—or cannabis—products, as well as commencing an expedited process to consider broader reclassification of marijuana from Schedule I to Schedule III of the Controlled Substances Act....
