The Trump administration filed an emergency appeal at the Supreme Court on Feb. 26 asking the justices to pause a 12 a.m. deadline to resume $2 billion in foreign aid payments.
The filing follows an appeals court bid to consider the same request after a group of nonprofits and contractors sued the administration for freezing funds from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and the State Department.
