WASHINGTON—First Lady Melania Trump announced special guests—two students who benefited from her Be Best Fostering the Future initiative—she invited to President Donald Trump’s State of the Union address on Feb. 24.
The president also invited Erika Kirk, wife of slain conservative commentator Charlie Kirk, and will call on Americans to reject political violence, according to an X post from White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt.
Ten-year-old Everest Nevraumont from Austin, Texas, and Sierra Burns from Greenville, South Carolina, were selected to sit in the first lady’s box for the president’s speech.
“Sierra and Everest embody my ongoing mission to uplift America’s foster youth and expand opportunity for our next generation through education and technology,” the first lady said in a statement....
