Trump Plans to Call Savannah Guthrie Following Her Mother’s Disappearance

WASHINGTON—President Donald Trump said on Tuesday he planned to call American journalist and television host Savannah Guthrie following the disappearance of her 84-year-old mother. “I’m going to call her later on. I think it’s a terrible thing,” Trump told reporters during a bill signing in the Oval Office. “I always got along very good with Savannah. [It’s a] very unusual situation, but we’re going to find out.” He also supported the idea of increasing the number of federal agents involved in the case, which is being led by the Pima County Sheriff’s Department. Family last saw Nancy Guthrie at her home on Saturday night and reported her missing on Sunday afternoon. The sheriff’s department said on Tuesday it believes Guthrie was taken against her will “possibly in the middle of the night.”...
