U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) Jamieson Greer said the U.S.–China bilateral meeting scheduled for May 14–15 is still on schedule, and there is no indication that U.S. President Donald Trump is seeking another delay due to the war in Iran. Greer met with Chinese counterparts in Paris on March 15–16 ahead of the bilateral meeting between Trump and Chinese Communist Party (CCP) leader Xi Jinping, where the negotiators worked out a framework for increasing trade between the two countries.
