White House Lays Off Thousands of Workers Amid Shutdown

As the government shutdown continues, the White House has begun firing more than 4,000 federal workers from a variety of agencies that President Donald Trump has referred to as “Democrat-oriented.” Budget director Russ Vought is also making permanent cuts to government programs.
